How much does a bathroom extractor fan cost to install?
A standard bathroom extractor fan installation costs from £150 plus VAT including the fan unit. Humidity-sensing or timer models start from £195 plus VAT. If we need to run new ducting, costs may be slightly higher. We always provide a fixed quote.
Do I need an extractor fan in my bathroom?
Building Regulations (Part F) require mechanical ventilation in bathrooms without opening windows. Even with a window, an extractor fan is recommended to prevent condensation and mould. All new bathroom installations require adequate ventilation.
Can you replace my noisy extractor fan?
Yes – older fans are often much louder than modern equivalents. We can replace like-for-like or upgrade to a quieter, more efficient model. Modern fans operate at 25-30dB (barely audible). Replacement typically takes 1-2 hours.
