NICEIC doesn't approve companies — it approves the individuals behind them. Every certificate that leaves our office carries the personal accountability of a Principal Duty Holder and a named Qualified Supervisor. These are the two people who put their signatures against every job we deliver.
Shaye Grant
Owner & Managing Director — Grant's Electrical Solutions Ltd
Shaye is the Principal Duty Holder on our NICEIC registration — legally accountable to NICEIC and to Building Control for every certificate the business issues. Second-generation to the trade, he built Grant's Electrical Solutions into a South-West-wide contractor by refusing to lower the standard: full RCBO consumer units, everything certified to BS 7671, and paperwork that stands up to any insurer, solicitor or Building Control officer.
- Named on NICEIC Customer #3186894
- Signs off every scheme certificate personally
- Directly accountable for scheme compliance
Patrick Morris
Qualified Supervisor — assessed and accepted by NICEIC, 16 July 2026
Patrick is our NICEIC Qualified Supervisor — the electrician personally responsible under scheme rules for the technical standard of every installation. During the assessment he demonstrated a strong working knowledge of BS 7671, the correct application of Part M accessibility requirements, and best-practice safe isolation using calibrated instruments and full lockout procedures.
- 25+ hours CPD logged — trade days, manufacturer training, technical periodicals
- Calibrated Megger MFT1720 tester (calibrated 2 March 2026)
- Bespoke safe-isolation procedure · voltage indicators & lockout kits
- Accepted by NICEIC assessor Mark Wheeler on first assessment

What is NICEIC?
NICEIC (the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) is the UK's largest and longest-established electrical certification body. Approved Contractor status is their principal registration — held only by firms that pass an annual on-site assessment of their live work, technical documentation, safety procedures and staff competence against BS 7671 (18th Edition).
For you, it means every installation we complete is carried out by a firm that has been independently and repeatedly verified. Certificates we issue are recognised by insurers, mortgage lenders, solicitors, letting agents and Building Control — anywhere electrical compliance evidence is required.
Our registration can be checked at any time on the public NICEIC register and on the government-backed Electrical Competent Person Register.
